Almond Cacao Sauce
Do you love chocolate covered almonds? Yeah? Then you'll love this recipe even more. Aaahhhh!!
Almond butter is perhaps one of my favorite nut butters (except for those times when all I want is peanut butter). What I love about almond butter is that it can go with almost anything! It complements all flavors very well, whether it's sweet or savory.
Cacao + almond butter and a little bit of a sweetener. Heavenly.
Almond Cacao Sauce
Ingredients:
serves one
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tsp cacao powder
- 1 tsp date syrup or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp water
- Dash of cinnamon optional
for a larger batch
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 1.5 tbsp cacao powder
- 1.5-2 tbsp date syrup or maple syrup
- 3 tbsp water
- Dash of cinnamon optional
Steps:
- Add all ingredients in a small bowl, except for the water
- Slowly mix as you add the water
- Feel free to add more water to thin it.
- Enjoy it with dates or on top of your nice cream or oatmeal!
- Or pit dates (or any fruit) and dip them in the sauce then freeze them for 20 minutes or so.
