Cacao Cashew Cream (Oil-Free)
This recipe is fun and easy to make! You can play around with the consistency depending on how you want to use it.
I made this mouth-watering spread many times. I love pairing it with my pancakes for a special treat on Saturday morning. Sometimes I want it to be more of a chocolate syrup; when that's the case, I simply add more warm/hot water and voilà!
Tip: It works great as a present.
Cacao Cashew Cream (Oil-Free)
Ingredients
- 1 cup cashews (soaked for at least 20 minutes)
- 5 dates*
- 1/4 cup cacao powder
- 1/4 cup water (more if you want it creamier)
*I used Khlas dates as they're very soft. If your dates are dry, simply soften by soaking them in warm water
Steps
- If you're using a food processor, then process the cashews first and then slowly add the remaining ingredients. Adding the water slowly. It may take 5-10 minutes
- If you're using a high-speed blender such as a Vitamix, then add everything together.
