Nice Cream Tips
I've posted before about how to make the perfect nice-cream and how to make nice-cream high in protein without using any protein powders (not that you need the extra protein..). Also check out my video prepping a nice cream bowl!
Wow. That's a lot of nice-cream related posts. But I figured I should go over it again with even more details for the newbies and with extra flavor ideas for the nice-cream addicts. I've decided to include this in the Ramadan series as it's in my opinion perfect for futoor. It's easily digested and refuels you with so much energy. I love bananas!
Step 1: Make sure your bananas are ripe! They should be yellow, soft, and spotted.
Step 2: Peel the bananas and slice them.
Step 3: Place in an airtight container or bag.
Step 4: Freeze overnight
Step 5: Mix in a high-speed blender such as a Vitamx, food processor, or with an immersion blender (it'll take a while).
Tips: There's no need to add any dairy to make it creamy! If it's not blending properly then just add a tablespoon or two of water and you'll be good to go.
Flavors:
- Berries
- Cherries and cacao
- Spinach (can't taste the spinach but it'll make it less sweet)
- Dates to make it extra sweet
- Beets
- Coconut
- Vanilla bean
- Cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger
- Nut butter: almond, peanuts, or cashew
- Mango
- Classic! Just bananas.
