Easiest Way to Cook Tofu!

After having many days to myself and doing whatever I wanted; my concept of time has changed. Now my days are getting busier, but I'm still planning too many things in one day, thinking that I can do them all and pretending to be a superwoman. Last night before I was going to add a few things to my to-do list, I remembered that it's full. Then thought to myself that I needed a bigger planner, but then I realized that what I actually need is to start prioritizing my goals more efficiently.

For the sake of busy days and weeks, I thought I should share this easy and quick recipe with you guys. It's not the best way to cook tofu in my opinion, but it sure is the fastest way! If you have some time then check out this recipe for baked tofu or this one if you want something fast.

The tofu will come out so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Ahh so good! However, I suggest that you just add the tofu to your waffle maker without marinating it. When I tried to add marinated tofu, it stuck to the waffle iron and kinda burned. So just have the sauce on the side or cut up the tofu and saute it quickly with some veggies and that way it'll get some flavor.

Tofu Waffle

Ingredients:

  • 1 package extra-firm tofu
  • Waffle iron

Steps:

  1. Drain the tofu and wrap it in a towel.
  2. Put something heavy on top and let it sit for 15-60 mins. Depending on how good you want your tofu to turn out.
  3. Preheat your waffle iron.
  4. Depending on your waffle iron but I let mine cook for 7 mins for best results.
